She wanted to decorate above August´s crib. Jessica had the idea of a dreamy night sky with clouds and stars. She didn’t find what she had in mind and ended up hand-painting clouds and stars herself. A few years later, when Jessica was decorating a nursery and a playroom for a client, once again she could not find what she was looking for. Searching for kids art and wall stickers, she again ended up hand-painting directliy on the wall.
The idea for Atlas & August was born.
The first drawings ever painted was a sea turtle and jellyfish. Inspired by their seaside life where August spend his summers playing on the beach and swimming in the ocean,
August wished to decorate the white bathroom tiles. So sea creatures was the first aminals
to bring Atlas & August to life. From that point, evertime they were drawing together, new additions to the Atlas and August family, came along
 Atlas is a name they have keept in mind for years since August first began talking about expanding the family with a dog. With August´ adventurous upbringing across England, the United States and Denmark, the name Atlas seemed just perfect and fitting for his new companionship, as they enbark on new advantures and explore the big world together.
